Co Founder

Wirepay,Maplerad, Capera

"Obinna Chukwujioke is a Nigerian entrepreneur and fintech infrastructure builder widely recognised for his role in shaping Africa’s modern financial rails. After early roles in oil and gas and information technology, he transitioned fully into financial technology, where he identified a structural gap in how businesses access banking, payments, foreign exchange, and compliance infrastructure across African markets.

In 2020, he co founded Wirepay with Miracle Anyanwu to address cross border payment challenges for Africans, an experience that clarified the deeper need for infrastructure rather than consumer facing financial products.

That insight led to the launch of Maplerad in 2021, a Banking as a Service platform powering payments, virtual accounts, cards, foreign exchange, and compliance for hundreds of African fintechs and global businesses. Maplerad has processed over one hundred million dollars in transactions and is valued at more than thirty million dollars.

In 2025, Obinna expanded his work with the launch of Capera, a fully licensed International Money Transfer Operator, and Roam, a mobile financial app offering Africans worldwide access to FDIC insured United States bank accounts, stablecoin wallets, and instant United States to Africa transfers. He also contributes to the ecosystem as an expert mentor with LSETF Innovates, Junior Chamber International, and the Alchemist Accelerator, and is a frequent speaker on African fintech infrastructure and startup scaling."

Oluwaseun Dania

CEO

Crello Limited

"As Africa’s cross-border commerce expands and the demand for reliable financial systems grows, a new generation of leaders is emerging at the intersection of technology, regulation, and market infrastructure. Among them is Oluwaseun Dania, Chief Executive Officer of Crello Limited, whose work focuses on building the underlying systems that enable regional and international financial transactions.
Dania leads Crello’s efforts to develop institutional-grade settlement technology, multi-currency liquidity tools, and automated treasury capabilities designed for regulated institutions and enterprise users. The company’s goal is to create a more transparent, interoperable, and efficient environment for cross-border payments across African markets — a space currently characterised by fragmentation, delays, and high transaction costs.
His career spans more than fifteen years across fintech, digital assets, IT consulting, and advisory roles. Before Crello, Dania founded and led Tradefada, one of Nigeria’s early digital currency exchanges. He also served as Lead Consultant at Alpha-Geek Technologies, where he advised organisations on digital transformation and blockchain adoption. His work illustrates the broader shift taking place across the region: a move toward building systems that are more reliable, scalable, and aligned with global standards, while still responding to the practical realities of operating in emerging markets.

A-List Spotlight

Dr. Collins C. Igwe, MBBS, ACA, ACCA, ACTI

chief financial officer

Budpay

"There are careers that impress, and then there are careers that quietly command respect.
Dr. Collins C. Igwe belongs firmly in the latter category. Trained first as a medical doctor, he went on to master the disciplines of chartered accountancy and taxation, before assuming senior leadership roles across fintech and banking at moments when institutions required not just ambition, but judgement. Few professionals navigate such distinct worlds with coherence. Fewer still do so while leaving each system stronger than they found it.
What makes Dr. Igwe’s journey remarkable is not the accumulation of titles, but the consistency of responsibility that runs through them. Whether operating in highly regulated financial environments, stewarding capital at scale, or shaping future professionals through nearly a decade of ACCA lecturing, his work reflects a deep respect for structure, discipline, and long term value.
As an Executive MBA graduate of London Business School, he brings global perspective to local execution. As a leader, he brings clarity where complexity prevails. And as a professional, he represents a standard that is increasingly rare in fast moving markets.
In the conversation that follows, Dr. Collins C. Igwe reflects on leadership, scale, governance, and the discipline required to build institutions that endure.
